Musk’s earning this year is more than total net worth of Zuckerberg
Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have lately engaged in exchange of words on social media with distinct regularity. Their exchange of words has mostly been harmless banter full of sarcasm but occasionally got ugly too. Their exchange of words about cage fight with each other was particularly amusing and in good taste. Exchange about cage fight went on and on for quite some time. Everybody knew that both business magnates were not serious about the cage fight but still many kept participating in the fun. Even the venue of the cage fight was shifted from Las Vegas to Paris. The cage fight has not been called off yet and is still on. But after news came that Meta is going to launch a microblogging site rivaling twitter exchange of words turned into war of words and when actual launch of the said rival of twitter happened things reached the boiling point. The said rival of twitter is ‘threads’ which garnered 100 million signups within 5 days of launch.
Rivalry between twitter and threads may be hotting up but one can simply not regard it as hotting up of rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg. Musk and Zuck are unequal, earning of Musk this year is more than entire net worth of Zuckerberg. Zuck is a social media baron but social media is just a small part of Business Empire of Musk. Musk is operatizing diametrically different businesses. He has just recently joined the bandwagon of social media business by acquiring twitter but has been running electric car business for years. His electric car company Tesla is numero uno among automobile companies in the world.
Musk doesn’t only own number one automobile company in the world, he has other big businesses too. His space exploration company SpaceX is arguably the most valuable private space exploration company. This company is at the verge of manufacturing world’s most powerful rocket Starship. Its falcon 9 is most used rocket today. Musk has launched an AI company xAI recently. He owns a construction company ‘the boring company’ also. Neurotechnology Company Neuralink Corporation is also owned by Musk. This company is trying to make brain implants. PayPal and SolarCity are other companies of Musk
Zuckerberg is a small fish compared to Musk and owns technology companies mainly social media companies. He is owner of Meta which is parent company of Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and recently launched Threads. A virtual reality software and hardware company Oculus VR is also owned by Zuckerberg.
